On Wednesday, firefighters at a fire fighting site in southern California were battling an inferno, but they were forced to pull their equipment because of the severe heat.
The fire started in a portable toilet at a construction site at the edge of town, which was under a mandatory evacuation order.
The inferno quickly grew to engulf the facility.
A total of 16 people were injured and eight of them have died.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
The National Guard was called in to assist the firefighters.
